We are a newly-established pet-friendly homestay in a quaint hamlet near Mukteshwar in Nainital district just 350 kilometers from Delhi and exactly 70.2 kilometers from Kathgodam Railway Station. The homestay is located in Hartola village and is surrounded by fruit orchards.
We have two spacious double rooms with attached bathrooms along with a living room, dining hall, a reading corner, and a kitchen spread in a single level.
While it’s a work-in-progress project, we can assure you a peaceful, hassle-free vacation amidst lush greenery, solitude and the majestic Himalayas gazing at you!
The route to Katie’s Abode, Hartola
From Delhi/NCR, there are several routes that lead to Katie’s Abode, Hartola, the shortest being via Rampur (but that road is under construction). Then again, one can come to our homestay via Nainital or Haldwani. Having said that, whichever route you take, once you reach Bhowali, the route that you will you need to take is the same.
Here are two routes you can take:
1. Haldwani > Kathgodam > Bhowali > Malla Ramgarh > Talla Ramgarh > Nathuakhan > Hartola
2. The alternate route from Nainital is:
Nainital > Bhowali > Malla Ramgarh > Talla Ramgarh > Nathuakhan > Hartola
Tariffs
Short-term: For a couple on room sharing basis (double room): Rs 3,800 per night. This includes, breakfast and lunch or dinner.
Long-term: If one is looking for long-term stay (more than 10 days) the tariff is Rs 2,500 per night.
This includes vegetarian meals, and wifi usage. Non-vegetarian dishes will be served at Rs 100 per person.

1. Minimum booking is for two nights.
2. We are not offering any discounts till January 26, 2021
Rooms
We have two double rooms – Kilmora and Buransh. The sizes of our double rooms are 12 feet x 15 feet. Each room capacity is 2 adults and a child. They have queen-sized beds, attached bathroom (8 feet x 8 feet) and provision for an extra bed.

Please note: Should you require any special assistance, have any ailments that require medical attention, please be informed that being a tiny hamlet off the beaten track, medical facilities are very limited in Hartola. So, it would be advisable to carry your medicines with you in case of emergencies.

Payments
For short-stay guests, the full amount of calculated tariff will need to be paid on booking.
For long-term guests, 50 percent of the calculated tariff amount will have to be paid on booking and the rest on arrival.
